Competitive soccer puts us all (coaches, organizers, players, parents and families) in high pressure situations, and our club works to create a safe environment for us to learn from them. Mahone Bay coaches are all trying to create an experience of community, grow the players individual confidence and increase everyone’s ability to play soccer. A BEAUTIFUL FIELD
We recently upgraded the field in the heart of Mahone Bay. It is gorgeous to play on, comfortable for spectators and right next to the Mahone Bay Centre, with all of their facilities. There are rumours of match day food this year too!! Come join us in our community outdoor space.
DEVELOP PROGRAMMING
U11-15 programming will include sessions throughout the season from what was previously the MBU Develop program. In addition to technical training and enhanced player development, we bring in speakers and guest coaches, do team building and leadership development activities and actively build the players engagement in the global game.
HALIFAX WANDERERS F.C. PARTNERSHIP
The pros are on our team! We have a partnership with the Halifax Wanderers. They are helping us build our competitive teams, coach development and club structure. We do club trips to watch games in the city and players have the opportunity to walk on with the pros, be ball kids and play in the half time game. There are also two Wanderers camps every summer in Mahone Bay. See below for dates and registration.
TOURNAMENTS AND EXHIBITION GAME
U11-U15 teams will get the opportunity to play tournaments and exhibition games against city teams. Which teams do these activities will depend on the levels, desire and availability among the players. Players can be entered into the Soccer Nova Scotia Player ID sessions where appropriate.

PRACTICE TIMES - KICK OFF MAY 27TH
By joining one of our teams you are committing to practices and games. In Mahone Bay we focus on both the skills and the team building as part of the training. For players to grow their skills and build their relationships, consistency is essential. Please arrive early and have your players ready to go on time for kick off. All the info on locations and times is on Spond.

As we head into the season, please remember:
- Our teams are made up of players with multiple levels of skill, fitness and ability. Experienced players are expected to support and help newer players to enjoy the sport and integrate at the club. Newer players are expected to apply themselves to learn the game and are encouraged to be brave and build friendships.
- Parents have an important role in supporting the players and our teams. Please give lots of encouragement and support from the sidelines but leave the directions on how to play to the coaches. Mahone Bay plays a creative passing style. Celebrate tricks and creativity and cheer for crisp, clean controlled passes! Thank you.We are waiting for the games schedule from South Shore District Soccer Association. Info is coming soon. Youth teams are invited to stay around on Fridays after club practice and support the Senior Men’s games. Let’s go Mahone Bay!
